Virginia L. "Baba" Bodnar, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in the Dixon Health Care Center in Wintersville, OH.Virginia was born on January 25, 1922 in Nashville, TN, daughter of the late Harry and Neola (Standley) Shaw. Virginia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto, OH, the Toronto Sunrise Senior Citizens Group, a long time member of the former Lidramu club. She was formerly employed by the Chic Pottery Co. in Wellsville, OH, a counter-clerk for the former Hilz Lumber Co., Steubenville Credit Union and the Haimes Travel Agency.Virginia was preceded in death by her husband John J. Bodnar who passed away June 6, 2005.Virginia is survived by her daughter, Susan Lawrence of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; three sons, John M. "Bo" (Linda) Bodnar of Toronto, OH, Mark R. (Judy) Bodnar of Toronto, OH, and Rick Bodnar and his companion Cathy Smurda of Columbus, OH; her fianc Bill Harvey of Newark, OH. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicole (James) Sneathen, Stephanie (Ryan) Bonnizzio, Charles (Bree) Lawrence, Summer (Mike) McLaurin, Matt (Caryn) Bodnar, Jessica (Jason) Winters, Erica and Adam Bodnar; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Sneathen, Nick and Gabi Bonnizzio, Pearson Lawrence, Brody Winters, Hank Bodnar and Marley McLaurin. Virginia will be sadly missed by her family and fianc Bill.Visitation for Virginia will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where her service will be held on Friday, November 13 at 11am. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service at 11am on Friday. Pastor Kevin Rinkes will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
