Virginia J. Keeney, 86, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Sunday Jan. 31, 2010 in the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. Virginia was born March 9, 1923 in Mingo Jct., Ohio, daughter of the late Carroll and Viola Boughner Frye. She was a homemaker, a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Toronto, the Methodist Women's Group of the church, the Dyer Country Club, the Rebekah Lodge and was a long member of the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth G. Keeney in 1997, her son Thomas in 2008 and her brother Carroll Frye Jr.Surviving are her daughter Sandy (Dave) Logan of Calhoun, GA., two Granddaughter, Michelle (Carl) Saltsman of North Canton, Ohio, Christel (Jim) Wessel of Seabrook, TX., one Grandson Marcus Keeney of Toronto, and 6 Great-Grandchildren.Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 4-7 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto; where Virginia's Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate her Service. Burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville.
