Virginia Maxine Riley, 89, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Wednesday May 5, 2021 in UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Maxine was born March 19, 1932 in Steubenville, daughter of the late James C. and Bessie M. (Anderson) Burns.

Maxine was an LPN at the former LaBelle Nursing Home in Steubenville.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, AARP, and she was a 1950 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Riley (Oct. of 1983); her son, Kenneth M. Riley (July of 1982); daughter-in-law, Rebecca Riley; two sisters, Irene Burns and Nellie Zook and brother-in-law, Abraham Zook.

Surviving is her son, Jeff Riley (Cathy Jones) of Steubenville; three granddaughters, Nicole, Krystina, and Kelsey Riley; one great-granddaughter, Madilynn Pugh and her sister, Norma Burns all of Steubenville.

Visitation will be held Sunday May 9, 2021 from 2 PM to 6 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Virginias Service will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Rev. William Brown will officiate, and burial will follow in the Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 3279 State Rt. 213 Steubenville, OH 43952.
