Wanda A. Kitch (Powell) Lewis, 76, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday Jan. 19, 2017 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
Kitch was born on March 16, 1940 in E. Liverpool, OH. She grew up in Wellsville, OH, daughter of the late Jon Wilbur and Helen (Leatherberry) Powell.
She was retired from the former Staceys IGA in Toronto, where she worked as a clerk for 20 years.
Kitch was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto. She served as an Elder, Deacon and sang in the church choir and said many times that was her favorite job. She was also a member of the P.W. A. of the church and was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School.
In addition to her parents, Kitch was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Grant Robert Starr and by a special aunt, Betty Bright.
Surviving is her husband, Robert E. Lewis whom she married Dec. 19, 1958; her daughter Beth Lynn (Bill) Klink; her two sons R. David (Cathy) Lewis and J. Steven (Mary Lynn) Lewis all of Toronto; her two sisters, Kay (Claude) Gowan of Rutledge, TN and Vickie Powell of Wellsville, OH; one brother, Jon (Joann) Powell of E. Liverpool, OH; her 6 grandchildren, Sarah (Tom) Phillips, Nick Minto, Alex (Rachel) Lewis, Shane (Rachel) Lewis, Morgan (Adam) Starr, Courtney Lewis and her 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday Jan. 22, 2017 from 1 4 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am with Rev. Tyler Bayless officiating and her burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
