Obituary

William L. Bill Freeman, 81, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Nov. 24, 2014 at his home.

Bill was born October 13, 1933 in Smithfield, son of the late Ernest and Margaret Harris Freeman.

He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. where he worked as a Stationary Engineer in the Boiler House. Bill was a former member of the Smithfield American Legion Post # 396 and was a former Past Master and Past Patron of Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges in Steubenville and Bridgeport, Ohio.

Bill also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served his country in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by six sisters, Ruth, Margaret, Doris, Rebecca, Nancy and Donna and by two brothers, Ernest and Frank.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Mary E. Cis (Smith) Freeman of home and several nieces and nephews.
