William B. Montgomery, 83, of Myrtle beach, SC, formerly of Steubenville, OH, passed away December 23, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born November 14, 1942, Bill was the son of the late Thomas Benton and Ethel Virginia Montgomery. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen Montgomery, two brothers, James and Robert Montgomery, and son-in-law, Ronald Thomas.

Bill leaves behind two daughters, Ginger Thomas and Leslie Montgomery; one brother, Tom (Joann) Montgomery; four grandchildren, Ashley Thomas, Zac (Jessica) Thomas, Megan Montgomery, and Andrea (Mike) Hilliard; five great grandchildren, Parker and Colton Thomas, Paxton, Kelsie and Jordan Hilliard.

Before moving south, he worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. until retiring and then enjoyed life at the beach with his family and close friend Dave Polonchan.

There will be no public services for Bill, his burial will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
