Wilma Pearl (Sayre) Emfield, 96, of Rayland, Ohio passed away Thursday June 17, 2010 in East Ohio Region Hospital. Wilma was born Feb. 14, 1914 in Wana, W.Va., daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Harker Sayre. She along with her husband was owners of the Emfield Grocery for over 30 yrs. In addition to her parents Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Alton Emfield in 1975, also by four brothers; Perman, Louis, Bearl, James and by two sisters, Jeanette and Pansy. Surviving is her daughter Janet (Jim) Branscom of Rayland, her sister Louise Banfield of St. Clairsville. Two grandchildren; Pastor Bob (Anita) Carson of Rayland and Cindy Carson of Guysville, Ohio. Four great-grandchildren; Heather (John) Dipko, Joe (Lori) Carson, Matthew and Mark Carson. One great-great-granddaughter Emily Carson. A private family service was held at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield and burial followed in Holly Memorial Gardens. www.jefosterfh.com
