Yvonne A. “Bonnie” Trudics, 88, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
Bonnie was born October 28, 1937, in Wellsville, OH. She was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.
After graduating high school in 1955, Bonnie attended nursing school and worked as an aide at both Gill Memorial and St. John’s Hospitals in Steubenville for many years.
As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she made the best pierogis, cabbage rolls, cream horns, nut rolls, potato bread, soup, and scratch-made noodles. She was a talented cake decorator and master crafter with her home always filled with wonderful crafts she created for holidays and other occasions. Bonnie took great pleasure in making and gifting her crafts and food to others.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Trudics, who passed away Feb. 21, 2024, an infant son, Steven, and brothers, Joseph Lastivka, Sr. and John Lastivka.
She leaves behind two sons, Mark (Patricia) Trudics of Akron, OH, and Matt (Dawn) Trudics of Toronto; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Fawver of Sarahsville, OH, Zakary Trudics and Maegyn Trudics both of Toronto; two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Emma Fawver.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. The Funeral Liturgy with Mass, celebrated by Fr. Thomas Vennitti, will be Tuesday at 11 am at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by interment at Toronto Union Cemetery.
Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday morning in the rear of the church from 10 am to 11 am. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
