Adolph Edward Slechta, Jr., 84, of Rayland, OH, passed away at his home Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021.
Adolph was born on July 11, 1937, in Dillonvale, OH, son of the late Adolph Edward and Wilma (Cerveny) Slechta, Sr.
He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Yorkville plant, as a senior machinist, with 37.5 years of service. Adolph was a proud union man. Along with his work at the mill, for over 60 years Adolph ran a cow-calf operation at his farm, which was his passion. His work ethic and devotion was an inspiring influence on his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Adolph was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Crisp.
Surviving is his sister, Delores Miller of Spring Hill, FL; 6 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service and burial will be held Tuesday Sept. 28, 2021.
