Beverly C. (Mushrush) Satkowski

Beverly C. Satkowski, 87, formerly of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, in the Stone Pear Pavilion in Chester, WV.

Beverly was born June 1, 1934, in Empire, OH, daughter of the late Wilmont ‘Bill’ and Freda ‘Caroline’ (Sheakley) Mushrush.

She retired from the Jefferson Co. Treasurer’s Office with 30 years of service. Prior to the Treasurer’s Office, she worked for the father and son dentist office of Dr. Razor.

Beverly was a 1952 graduate of Toronto High School, a member of the Toronto High School Alumni Assoc. and the Empire Methodist Church. She attended the Bell Chapel UMC where she a member of the Women’s Group.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Alphons ‘Al’ Satkowski who passed in 1987, daughter-in-law Dawn Satkowski, and nephew Jeff Mushrush.

Beverly leaves behind her two sons, Edward (Beth) Satkowski of Seminole, FL, and John Satkowski of Toronto; two grandchildren, Devon (Trevor) Cooper, and Bryce Satkowski; brother, Wilmont ‘Pete’ (Peggy) Mushrush of Toronto; special niece, Janet (Mark) Walter and daughter Makayla of Steubenville, OH; her namesake, Beverly (Pete) Smith; and her life-long friend, Susan Reese of Empire, OH.

Visitation for Beverly will be held Friday, Jan. 21 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Rev. Jason Elliott will officiate, and burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com
