Bruce Boggs Obituary

 

Bruce John Boggs, 78, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday Oct. 9, 2021, in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

 

Bruce was born July 3, 1943, in Steubenville, son of the late John Nelson and Ruth (Yocum) Boggs.

 

Bruce was retired from the Ohio Edison Co. Sammis Plant, where he worked in Operations.

 

He was a member of the Melbourne, FL, American Legion and served his country during the Vietnam War era in the U.S. Army Reserves.

 

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Bette D’Amico.

 

Surviving is his wife, Vickie L. (Starr) Boggs, whom he married March 10, 1997; three daughters, Lori Iafrate of Weirton, WV, Joanie (Terry) McManus of Arlington, VA, and Danice Ryan of Richmond, OH; one son, Bill (Troylynn) Boggs of Bloomingdale, OH; three stepsons, Shawn (Laura) Henderson of Columbus, OH, Stephen (Andrea) Henderson of Akron, OH and Christopher Henderson of Columbus, OH; 12 grandchildren, Ashlee, Rebekah, Andrew, Elizabeth, Ciara, Trevor, Joseph, Michael, Malcolm, Liam, Noah, Elliot, and 4 great-grandchildren.

 

A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held for family and friends at a later date. Arrangements for Bruce are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH.
