Carlo A. Barbarossa, 82, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday April 17, 2019 in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.
Carlo was born November 24, 1936 in Piney Fork, OH, son of the late Andy and Lena (Stabile) Barbarossa.
Carlo worked for Lincoln Homes then became the owner and operator of Barbarossa Wood Working in Smithfield for over 20 years. He was Catholic by faith.
In addition to his parents, Carlo was preceded in death by his wife, Alice R. (Kovalchik) Barbarossa on Aug. 1, 2007 and by his sister, Cecelia Barbarossa in January of this year.
Surviving are his two sons, Brian Barbarossa of Piney Fork and David (Brenda) Barbarossa of Rayland, OH; two grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Barbarossa; two sisters, Theresa Cichon of Piney Fork and Rose (Richard) Varagliotti of Toronto, OH; two brothers, Emelio Barbarossa of Alliance, OH and Larry (Chris) Barbarossa of Federal Way, WA.
Carlo’s funeral service will be held Saturday April 27, 2019 at 12 noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield. There will be visitation from 10 am – 12 noon. Msgr. John Kolesar will officiate and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH.
