Carol Lanave, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 in the Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon, OH.
Carol was born June 16, 1934 in Toronto, daughter of the late Franklin and Blanche (Wagner) Lysle.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto. Carol was a 14-year volunteer dispatcher for TEMS in Toronto, an avid bowler and bingo player, former member of Toronto Band Parents, and she loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Silvio ‘Sil’ Lanave (2011); three sisters, Jean Westenhaver, Helen Carter, and Marian Jackson; four brothers, Raymond, Tom, Jack ‘John’, and Robert ‘Pat’ Lysle.
Carol leaves behind her two sons, Michael (Jeanne) Lanave of Wellsville, OH and Robert (Shari) Lanave of Elyria, OH; three grandchildren, Lori (Brian) Burse, Joseph Lanave, and Christopher (Amber) Lanave; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Adam, and Daniel Burse, Devin and Giana Lanave.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 8 from 3 - 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Additional visitation Friday morning from 9:15 - 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toronto followed by a Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 AM. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
