Carol Lynn Moran, 74, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the Weirton Medical Center Weirton, WV.
Carol was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Steubenville, daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (Michaels) Jones.
She worked for 22 years in the Ohio Valley Hospital Birthing Center in Steubenville, OH. Carol went on to work in the home health care field, where she received sincere joy from helping others and created many lasting and meaningful friendships.
Carol was a devoted mother and proud grandmother who absolutely lived for her grandchildren. Carol loved her long-time girlfriends and enjoyed their daily conversations and looked forward to their lunch dates. Carol was a woman of faith, wanted the best for her family, loved her Pittsburgh Steelers and adored her sweet dog and companion, Tommy.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by husband, Virgel ‘Andy’ Moran (2/10/2017), brother, Donnie Jones and sister, Barbara Wooddell.
Carol leaves behind her daughter, Julie Abrams of Los Angeles, CA, and son, Chad McVicker (Kelly Ensminger) of Bloomingdale, OH; four grandchildren, Alexis McVicker (Joey Chadwick), Jared McVicker (Jazalyn Glenn), Grace Ensminger McVicker, and Luke McVicker, and her late husband Andy’s daughters and extended family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 26 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, where her funeral service will be held Friday at 11 am. Rev Kevin Rinkes will officiate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
