Charles ‘Spot’ Bowland, 77, of Bloomingdale, OH, passed away Thursday May 20, 2021 at his home.
Spot was born Aug. 1, 1943 in Imperial, PA, son of the late Leslie, Jr. and Martha (Marflak) Bowland.
Spot was retired from the Teamsters, having worked as a driver at Weir-Cove Moving & Storage and then in Union Construction until his retirement.
He was Christian by faith and a Harley Davidson and John Deere fan. He loved his dog Tippy and his kitties Buddy and Jack.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Surviving is his wife, Linda S. (Bates) Bowland, whom he married Dec. 3, 1990; three children, Tina (Max) Lowrie of Corsica, PA, Charlie Bowland of Burgettstown, PA, and Michael Bates of Richmond, OH; two sisters, Bonnie of Nashville, TN and Francis of Lillington, NC; four grandchildren, Melanie and Madilyn of Corsica, Karli Bowland Pittsburgh, PA and Isabel Stoeckle of Weirton, WV.
Spot’s wishes were to be cremated with no services observed. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH.
