Charles L. ‘Butch’ Kersey, 69, of Wellsville, OH, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 at his home.
Butch was born June 16, 1951 in Five Forks, WV, son of the late Claude E. and Margaret V. (Holmes) Kersey.
He was a 1969 graduate of Toronto High School and a member of the Cornerstone Church in Toronto. Butch worked most of his career with Sterling China in Wellsville. He later moved on to Gregory’s Industries in Canton, OH and finished his career with Quest Mark Commercial Flooring.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Kersey; siblings, Robert and Joseph Kersey, Martha DeVore, Terry Umstead and Pamela Kersey.
Butch leaves behind daughter, Jessica (Nathan) Oldaker and son, Joshua Kersey both of Wellsville; sisters, Karen Cunningham of Calcutta, OH, and Theresa Harris of Toronto, OH; brother, Calvin (Connie) Kersey of Weirton, WV; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering with Service for Butch will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Cornerstone Church in Toronto. A fellowship dinner will follow in the church hall. Memorial donations may be directed to Cornerstone Church.
