Connie A. Stagani, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
Connie was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Toronto, daughter of the late Steve and Lottie (Sembar) Karavas.
She was retired from St. John Medical Center and Trinity West where she worked as a secretary in Medical Records. Connie was a 1953 graduate of Toronto High School and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. She was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don ‘Bunny’ Karavas, two sisters, Katherine (Sam) Visnic, and Barbara Karavas, and a nephew, Sam Visnic.
Connie leaves behind two sons, Bob (Joann) Stagani of Steubenville, and Dan Stagani, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; granddaughter, Ashley (Joel) Robertson of Toronto; grandsons, Greg Stagani and fiancé Noralyn Parise of Boston, MA, and Tyler Stagani and companion Jessica France of Toronto; two great-grandsons, Joel ‘J’ Robertson, III and Arlo Robertson; nieces, Christine (Steve) Visnic Lazarowicz, Stephanie Visnic, and Sam’s spouse, Deb Visnic.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 3 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow on Saturday at 10 am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, with additional visitation from 9:15 to 10 am in the rear of the church. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will officiate, and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
