Daniel Gault Obituary

Daniel L. Gault, 81, of Toronto (Costonia), OH, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH, due to complications from brain cancer.

 

Dan was born February 23, 1942 at home in Costonia, son of the late Woodrow Wilson Gault and Ethel M. (Still) Gault.

 

He was retired from a lifetime of working as a handyman. He was Methodist by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading books.

 

Dan was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

 

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Jennie (Don) Redmond of Toronto, and three brothers, Woody (Marge) Gault of Pico Rivera, CA, Franklin Gault of Empire, OH, and Robert (Susan) Gault of Toronto.

 

Surviving are his sisters, Chariessa (the late Larry) Coil and Jackie (the late Bob) Wellington both of Knoxville, OH, Linda Bozick of Norwalk, CA; brothers, Walter (Carla) Gault of Houston, TX, and Paul (Barb) Gault of Homesdale, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Dan’s wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest next to his brother Robert in the Toronto Union Cemetery. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Toronto.
