Edward T. Lang, 93, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.
Ed was born April 15, 1927 in Vesta (Redwood Co.), MN, son of the late Wenzel and Anna Paulina (Yackel) Lang.
He was retired from the Ohio Edison Co. having worked as an instructor and in the Instrument Dept. at the W.H. Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH.
Ed was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in WWII. He was a born again Christian and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Steubenville.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Louise (Freshwater) Lang who passed in February of 1999, along with his nine brothers and sisters.
Ed leaves behind his son, Thomas Edward (Rita) Lang of Orient, OH, and his two daughters, Nancy Gail (Fred) Mehling and Jackie (David) Baker both of Toronto; seven grandchildren, Molly Gail (Carl) Nim, Elisha (Andrew) Plesich, Annalee Elasquez, Jesse Baker, Abigail (Andrew) LeMasters, Greta Kay Lang and Paul Edward (Abbey) Lang and eleven great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Friday, Nov. 20 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 1:45 PM up to the time of Ed’s funeral service at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Pastor David McCloskey will officiate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
