Ernest Floyd McGrath, 72, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 in the East Liverpool City Hospital in E. Liverpool, OH.
Ernie was born Dec. 17, 1947 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Earl and Myra (McClelland) McGrath.
He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. where he worked in the BOP. Ernie was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and he followed Nascar.
Ernie was a Veteran of the US Navy having served his country in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and James McGrath.
Ernie leaves behind his wife, Theresa Ann (Edwards) McGrath whom he married April 27, 1973; his son, Stormy (Nachelle) McGrath of Lisbon, OH; his daughter, Misty (Ted) Shannon of Hammondsville, OH; four grandchildren, Paxston and Lena Cathaldo, Madison and Bradley Shannon; his nephew who was like a grandson, Justin Minor of Steubenville; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, River, Kova and Tahvianna.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22 from 2 PM to 4 PM followed by his funeral service at 4 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Rev. Raul Diaz will officiate. Military Honors will be presented by the Toronto American Legion at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
