Garrett W. Emery, 79, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2020 at his home.
Garrett was born Sept. 5, 1940 in Toronto, son of the late Francis and Eunice (Little) Emery.
He retired, after 31 years, from Weirton Steel Corp., where he worked as a scarfer.
Garrett was a social member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86. He coached Little League Baseball for 10 years, played in a billiards league at Mobley’s Tavern and he loved to golf.
In addition to his parents, Garrett was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (Harkness) Emery, his second wife, Patricia (Gault) Emery and his son, Eric Emery on March 23, 2020.
Surviving is his son, Todd (Rita) Emery of MI; his daughter, Angela (Kim) Myers of Toronto and four grandchildren, Hailey and Nathan Emery, Melanie Shaft and Mark West.
Garrett’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services observed. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com
