George R. Peach

George R. Peach, 72, a loving husband of 49 years, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, in the Weirton Medical Center ER in Weirton, WV.

George was born Jan. 7, 1951 in Salem, OH, son of the late Dean and Virginia (McCourt) Peach Foresh.

George’s memberships include the Amsterdam VFW, former Toronto VFW, Sons of the American Legion in Toronto and the Toronto Eagles.

He loved to camp and has spent the last 35 years at Austin Lake. George was a Pittsburgh Steeler, Pirate, Penguin and OSU Buckeye fan. He also loved to golf and karaoke.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joe, two sisters, Jean and Linda, and stepfather, Joe Foresh.

George leaves behind his wife, Cindy (Wiley) Peach whom he married Aug. 16, 1974; two daughters, Christina Peach (partner Kelly Yamada) of VA, and Brandi Peach (Ryan Lemley) and bonus daughter, Tiffany Chitester both of Toronto; twin brother, Jerry Peach (Cathy Frame) and sisters-in-law, Sheila Peach both of Toronto and Lorraine Peach of Roswell, NM; three grandsons, Brendon Smith-Peach, Jackson Murphy and Kayden Keenan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 2 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. George’s funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Susan Clegg officiating and his burial will be held at the convenience of the family. www.jefosterfh.com
