Jacqueline E. ‘Jackie’ (Romey) Maple, 94, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday July 30, 2023, in the Carriage House Assisted Living in Steubenville, OH.
Jackie was born July 8, 1929, in Toronto, daughter of the late Michael and Jean (Olbrysh) Romey.
Jackie retired from Jefferson Behavior Health in 2008.
She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, and a 1947 graduate of Toronto High School.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James F. Maple, who passed away April 5, 2021; her daughter, Vicki Maple Hickman, in 2002; two sisters, Virginia (Ed) Fingers and Irene (Paul) Tenney, and two brothers, Bill (Ginger) Romey and Michael Romey.
Surviving are two daughters, Valerie (Shawn) Irwin of Toronto, and Jamie (Padrick) Carnahan of Beaver, PA; three grandchildren, Conner and Tanner Carnahan of Beaver and Leslie Best of Empire, OH.
Jackie’s family would like to thank the Carriage House Assisted Living for their exceptional care.
A private family service will take place at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with Fr. Thomas Vennitti. Burial will take place in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
