JoAnn M. (Wszeborowski) Martin

JoAnn M. Martin, 75, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Thursday March 30, 2023, in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

JoAnn was born July 3, 1947, in Bloomingdale, OH, daughter of the late Frank C. Wszeborowski and Anna Marie (Frantz) Goddard.

She retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Coke Plant in Follansbee. JoAnn was a member of the Wintersville American Legion Post #553 Ladies Auxiliary.

JoAnn loved to play cards and laugh. Going on family vacations was her passion and she was an avid gardener and loved to cook. She loved her family and would always say, ‘I love you guys so much’.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her daughter, Jody English, sister, Elaine Wright and two brothers, William and Fred Dye.

Surviving is her husband, William B. Martin, whom she married Oct. 2, 1982; two sons, James (Kay) McCarroll of Richmond, OH, and Douglas (Juan) McCarroll and daughter, Michelle Young both of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Sis (Howard) Stine of Irondale, OH, Susan Haines of TN, and Peggy Zende of Wintersville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for JoAnn will be held Monday, April 3 at 12 noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 am to 12 noon.
