Joyce Anne (Exterovich) Brownlee, 67, of Toronto, OH, died Friday, July 24, 2020 after a lengthy illness, in the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
Joyce was born January 10, 1953 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Raymond ‘Whitey’ and Stella (Heinrichs) Exterovich. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, twin brother to David, Jason Paul Exterovich.
Joyce was raised Catholic and was a prior member of the St. Francis parish. She went to Toronto City Schools and was a member of the Class of 1971.
Her passion was collecting miniatures for her doll house. She was an avid reader and anything western, history and Steven King novels. She loved crossword puzzles, wouldn’t stop until she completed one. She loved adult coloring and she was quite the artist. She lived and breathed ‘Black & Gold’ and never missed a Pittsburgh Steeler game. Anyone who knew Joyce knew she loved to party with her family and friends.
Surviving is her husband, Ed Brownlee; her son, David and Olivia Exterovich; grandchildren, Lillianna and Xavier of Lewis Center, OH; four brothers, Michael and Kathy Exterovich of Steubenville, Bill Exterovich of Bonita Springs, FL, Jim and Diana Exterovich of Hilliard, OH and Steve and Kelly Exterovich of Dacula, GA; eight sisters, Mary ‘Tess’ and Darrell Schoppe of Toronto, Chirstine ‘Katie’ and Richard Schoppe of Steubevnille, Diana Exterovich, Judy and Mark Bodnar, Lisa and Randy McGrath all of Toronto, Sharon and Bob Ash of Irondale, OH, Amy and Marty Peckens of Toronto and Lori and John Mascio of Steubenville.
Services for Joyce will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family. Her arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Toronto.
