Kathy (Kunkel) Clegg, 71, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.
Kathy was born May 18, 1950, in Steubenville, daughter of the late John and Juanita (Clark) Kunkel.
She was retired from the Toronto City School District where she worked as a high school secretary. Kathy was also a 1968 graduate of Toronto and a member of the former North River Ave. Church of Christ.
Kathy was affectionately referred to as ‘Grammy’ by her grandchildren. She supported all of them by going to all their activities including the marching band, the school plays, and all the games on the football field, basketball court and baseball diamond.
Kathy leaves behind her husband, Dan Clegg; daughter, Amy Clegg Smith and son, Aaron (Korey) Clegg all of Toronto; five grandchildren, Hank Clegg, Noah Smith, Nolan Clegg, AJ Clegg, and Liza Smith; two brothers, Doug (Sophie) Kunkel of Sand Point, ID, and Richard ‘Rick’ (Donna Haynes) Kunkel of Toronto.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 1 to 3 pm and again from 5 to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Kathy’s funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Cody Gaston officiating.
Kathy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, Trinity West, and Valley Hospice for all their care and compassion.
