Kenneth E. Dearth, 79, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
Ken was born Oct. 16, 1942, in Friendly, WV, son of the late Edsel and Genova (Dennis) Dearth. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Dearth.
He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. with over 40 years of service. Ken was a Veteran of the US Navy stationed on the USS Chewaucan.
His memberships include the Two Ridges Presbyterian Church in Wintersville, where he served on Session, Buildings-Grounds-Property Committee, also the Evangelism Committee, and the ALL (Academy of Lifelong Learning).
Ken loved maintaining his home and vehicles, relaxing on his deck and swimming in his pool, helping and visiting family, friends, and neighbors, and most importantly he enjoyed making everyone laugh and smile.
Ken leaves behind his wife, Ruth E. (Unsworth) Dearth whom he married June 20, 1972; siblings, Marjorie Kay Kempler, Judith (Herbert) Lashhorn, Larry (Debbie) Dearth, Sharon (Wes) Fritz, Martha (Bill) Lewis, and Richard (Stacey) Dearth, and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Ken are private, and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH.
