Michael Lee Halligan, 67, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Nov. 3, 2021, in Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.
Mike was born Oct. 18, 1954, in Portsmouth, OH, son of the late John and Billie (Cunningham) Halligan.
Mike was retired from the First Energy Corp., Sammis Plant, in Stratton, OH, where he worked as a boat captain.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Jean Keenan, brother, David Halligan, father and mother-in-law, Bob and Mary Lou Neeper.
To cherish his memory, Mike leaves behind the love of his life, wife Patricia ‘Pat’ (Neeper) Halligan; his beloved children, Jennifer (Jr.) Furbee of Hammondsville, OH, Eric (Lori) Kutchmark of Richmond, OH, Michael Lee (Marissa) Halligan, II and Matt (Lindsay) Halligan, all of VA; his 10 loving grandchildren, Brian and Brittany Furbee, Colton (Trinity) Kutchmark, Alizabeth and Zachary, Colin and Cailee Halligan, Olivia, Simon and Cora Halligan; his 4 loving great-grandchildren, Madison, Amelia, Lillian and Liam, and niece, Rene (Keenan) Zalduondo of FL.
Mike leaves a special tribute to Tom Terebus who unselfishly gave him his kidney eight years ago.
Visitation will be held Thursday Nov. 11, 2021, from 4 to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where services will be held Friday at 11 am. Ruth Ann Miller will officiate Mike’s service and burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
