Nadine L. ‘Nana’ McEwen, 74, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Nadine was born Oct. 8, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late William Hanlin and Ruth (Rayl) Hanlin who survives.
She was retired from Ross Park Pharmacy. Nadine also worked as a substitute in the TTA and Early Childcare classes at the Jefferson Co. JVS. She attended Cornerstone Church in Toronto and she was a 1964 graduate and the Homecoming Queen of Wayne High School.
In addition to her father, Nadine was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jerry Hanlin, brother Bill Hanlin, her sister and brother-in-law Pat (John) Clark, and her grandson, Jefforey Maffett.
Nadine is survived by her mother, Ruth Hanlin of Toronto; her husband, Frank McEwen, Jr. whom she married Feb. 14, 1981; her two daughters, Tammy (Wayne) Glenn of Covington, GA and Kathryn (Kevin) Lowry of Pickerington, OH; her son, Todd (Alaina) Leasure of Toronto; her 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Nadine will also be lovingly remembered by her dear friends, the ‘Mag 7’.
Family and friends will be received Friday, Nov. 13 from 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Raul Diaz officiating. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
