Nickolas G. Strovilas (Big Papa, Big Nick, Nick the Prick) 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, after suffering a brief illness (no, it wasn’t the corona virus).
September 30, 1935, a legend was born. He was a 1953 graduate of Toronto High School and a lifelong resident. Continuing his education, he graduated from the Ohio State University (with honors, because he was so smart) in 1959 with a degree in Pharmacy.
Nick was the proud owner/operator of Toronto Pharmacy. He had a real passion for dealing drugs. He loved spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed drinks…and his time at the local watering hole. He retired in 1999 and continued partying like it was 1999- up until last week.
He will be sadly missed and loved by all who knew him.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, George C. Strovilas, mother, Anna M. Platko Strovilas Falasca (Mario) and brother, Crist G. Strovilas.
Surviving is his sister, Margaretta Perun of Toronto; his three lovely, amazing, wonderful daughters, all of Toronto: Deidra L. Strovilas-Lathem (widow of Charles R.), Teresa D. Strovilas, and Jennifer N. Strovilas, his favorite and the author. Nick also leaves behind his close friend, Linda K. Berg of Toronto and a few special grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration in honor of Nick’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com.
