Pamela Marie ‘Pam’ (Porter) Dunlap, 77, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday July 12, 2023, in the Serra Manor-Hope Cottage in Weirton.
Pam was born Feb. 25, 1946, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Lawrence and Roberta (Miskelly) Porter.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverview Global Methodist Church in Toronto, where she had been very involved over the years. Pam was a 1964 graduate of Toronto High School, volunteered at the Salvation Army in Steubenville and participated in the Peacemaker Quilting Club at St. Francis Church.
Pam had a passion for sewing, kept very active with her love of walking, and bicycling, and would do things for others without them knowing.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Dunlap, on Feb. 24, 2012; two brothers, Larry and John Porter, and brother-in-law, William J. ‘Billy Jo’ Dunlap.
Surviving is her daughter, Valarie (Chris) Crossley of Weirton; two brothers, Robert ‘Bob’ (Claudia) Porter of Newman, GA, and William ‘Bill’ (Kristine) Porter of Wintersville; sisters-in-law, Sally (Hughes) Porter of Toronto, Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ (Sheets) Porter of Empire, OH, Diane (Walker) Dunlap of E. Liverpool, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 16, from 12 noon to 4 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am. Rev. Frank Rogers will officiate, and interment will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
