Philip M. Abdalla, 53, of Wintersville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at the age of 53 in the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
Phil was the son of John and Rose Abdalla of Steubenville, Ohio. Phil was a member of the local boilermakers local 154 and the 3rd generation owner of Abdalla’s Tavern & Grill in Stratton, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father John Abdalla. Surviving Phil are his mother Rose, mother of his children, Misty, his children Megan (Mark), Zac, and Jessica, and his grandchildren Dominic, Max, Ava, Adalynn and Enzo. Also surviving are his five siblings, Jo (Eli), Helen, John (Stephanie), Eddie, and Robert (Tracey). He also had five nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly - Alex (Kayla), Morgan (PJ), Austin, Kelsey and Cori. In addition, there are uncles, aunts, and dozens of cousins who will miss him as well.
Phil was a life-long Notre Dame and NY Giant football fan and had an encyclopedic knowledge of all sports teams and players. His unique perspective of the world left Phil with countless friends and acquaintances that will miss him dearly.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 8 from 3 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In respect for the well-being of family, we ask that all those attending his service practice social distancing and wear a face mask.
