Rebecca L. (Maple) Burris

Rebecca L. (Maple) Burris, 82, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday April 20, 2022, in Trinity Medical Center in Steubenville, OH.

Becky was born July 28, 1939, in Toronto, daughter of the late Dale and Ruth (Dougherty) Maple.

Becky retired as a nurse having worked at the Gill Hospital and St. John’s Medical Center for 42 yrs. She was also a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, who passed Jan. 11, 2009, her son Mark in 1987, brother Timothy Maple in 1983 and son-in-law Thomas Frawley in 2011.

Surviving is her son, Brian Burris; two daughters, Erin (Jeff) Dunlope and their daughters Emily and Maria Dunlope, and Amy Frawley and her children Elizabeth (Alex) Mariscal and Mark Frawley all of Toronto. Becky is also survived by her sister, Diane (George) Carr and two brothers, David (Sheryl) Maple and Shawn Maple all of Toronto, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday April 27, 2022, from 10 am to 11:45 am in the rear of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. A funeral liturgy with mass will follow at 12 noon. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
