Robert Vincent Pozzuoli, 46, of Smithfield, OH, passed away unexpectedly March 24, 2021.
Robert, better known as ‘Mav’ to his family and friends, was born in Steubenville, OH November 28, 1974 to Mario and Mary (Tripodi) Pozzuoli.
Robert served as a volunteer firefighter for many years with the Smithfield Fire Department and helped coach his niece’s T-ball team. An avid sports fan, Robert was often cheering on the Cleveland Browns or Indians, or The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy! and collecting baseball and football cards.
Mav had a ready smile and was always willing to offer a helping hand to a friend or family member in need. He chose to give the gift of life through organ donation.
Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary (Agresta) Tripodi and uncle Louis Tripodi.
Surviving is his mother, Mary (Tripodi) Pozzuoli of Smithfield; daughter Avellina Pozzuoli of Smithfield; brother Joseph (Katie) Pozzuoli of Zanesville, OH; sister Joyce (Dan) Flaherty of Smithfield; fiancé Crystal Shaughnessy and her children, Nicholas Grim and Autumn Shaughnessy all of Smithfield; four nieces, Alexis and Fayth Flaherty, Gianna and Mara Pozzuoli and nephew Judah Pozzuoli.
