Susan L. (Wise) Connolly

Susan L. Connolly, 67, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by family after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

Susie was born May 25, 1955 in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late, Dr. James E. and Dorothy (Manning) Wise.

She retired from Resibeck’s in Wintersville where she worked as a clerk. Susie also worked for many years at the former Convenient Food Mart in Toronto. She was a 1973 graduate of Brooke High School and Methodist by faith. Susie loved to garden, tend to her flowers around the house, and basking in the sunshine.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by sister, Debbie Wise, and brother, Jimmy Wise.

Susie leaves behind her husband, Kevin R. Connolly, whom she married Sept. 15, 1978; two daughters, Kasey Connolly of Toronto, and Megan (Clay) Manning of Steubenville, OH; two sisters, Kathy Tokas of Weirton, WV, and Pam (Dan) Welsh of Follansbee, WV; five grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as MiMi, Aydan, Kaitlynn, Isabella, Dustin, and Gwen, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am. Rev Kevin Rinkes will officiate and burial will be private at the convenience of her family.
