Timothy ‘Big Tim’ Eugene Reighard, 66, of Richmond, OH, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, after a long battle following a kidney transplant.
Tim was born January 12, 1956, in Steubenville, OH, to the late Eugene and Fern (Morris) Reighard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Bruce (Karen) Reighard of Sacramento, CA last year.
Big Tim was a jack of all trades. Some of his previous jobs included timber broker, truck driver, bus driver and school custodian. He finally found success as a business owner. He owned and operated Top Notch Janitorial Service for over 30 years before retiring in 2021. He was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan and could usually be found buying scratch off tickets at any of the local convenience stores. His personality was larger than life, and he was always telling a joke or being ornery.
Tim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth (Gooch) Reighard, his daughters, Kristen Wiley and Kylie (Alex) DiPietro, brothers Ken (Lillian) Reighard, Rich Reighard, and Mark Reighard, all of Toronto and grandchildren, Timothy ‘TC’, Grayson ‘Graybear’, and Gianna ‘Spicy Meatball’, as well as one on the way. Big Tim loved being a Paw Paw and his grandkids brought him so much joy. He also leaves behind many beloved in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 1 to 3 pm and again from 6 to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, where his funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 pm. George White will officiate and burial will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto, OH. www.jefosterfh.com
