Timothy Robertson Obituary

Timothy R. Robertson, 72, of Toronto, OH, passed away Nov. 4, 2021 in the VA Hospital in Lake Nona, Orlando, FL.

 

Tim was born May 23, 1949, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late, Marie Agnes Robertson.

 

He was a 1967 graduate of Toronto High School. After graduation, Tim enlisted in the Navy and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Order of Magellan.

 

After being discharged, Tim was hired at the Steubenville Papermill. He then went on to spend 40 years at the First Energy Sammis Plant.

 

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by sisters, Amy Lou Robertson, Joanne (Brown) Wallace, Robin (Brown) Spencer, and Janice Lanterman; brothers, Jay Brown, Terry Brown, and Nathaniel Robertson; brother-in-law, Clarence Reese and nephew, Thomas Reese.

 

Tim leaves behind his loving wife, Cheryl Robertson of Toronto; two sons, Timothy (Tina) Robertson, Jr. of Follansbee, WV, and Steven (Vanessa) Meyers, Jr. of Steubenville; brother, William ‘Buck’ Robertson of Toronto; sister, April (Jerry) Sheely of Salem, OH; grandchildren, Logan and Carter Robertson and Cruz Jackson all of Follansbee; nephew, William Reese of Toronto and great nephews, Mitchell Reese of Bellaire, OH, Kenny Reese of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dalton Reese of Toronto.

 

Tim was a loving daddy to The Robertson Furkids, Kasey, Gianna, Randy and Keegan.

 

Family and friends will be received Saturday, Dec. 4, from 11 am to 12 noon at the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto. A memorial service will follow at 12 noon. Rev. Frank Rogers will officiate and Military Honors will follow.

 

Donations in Tim’s memory may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
