Virginia E. ‘Jennie’ Redmond, 76, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
Jennie was born June 8, 1946, in Steubenville, daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Ethel M. (Steele) Gault.
She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women in Toronto. Jennie was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.
Jennie and her husband, Don, were foster parents to many children over the years. She loved to bowl, and she dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty E. Conlon (2018), and her brothers, Frank, Bob, and Woody.
Jennie leaves behind her husband, Donald L. Redmond, whom she married June 10, 1967; daughters, LeeAnne (TJ) Chociej of Toronto, Beverly Hughes of E. Liverpool, OH, Janis (Kenny) Pinnell of Cocoa, FL; son-in-law, Rodney Aguilar of Dade City, FL; sisters, Jackie (Bob) Wellington, Chariessa Coil, and Linda Bozick; brothers, Paul (Barb) Gault, Butch (Carla) Gault, Dan Gault; grandchildren, Brittany, Mariah (Ashton), Emily, Amy (Austin), Jennie (Brandon), Jacob, Nathan, Laikyn, and Braylen; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Lakyn, Avril, and Joseph; her unadopted daughter, Sue (Dave) Branson, and her unadopted son, Tinker (Mary) Reed.
Visitation for Jennie will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Riverview Methodist Church in Toronto. Her funeral service will follow at 5 pm. Rev. Frank Rogers will officiate, and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
