William E. 'Bill' Newbold

William E. ‘Bill’ Newbold, 69, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Bill was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Steubenville, son of the late Paul E. and Bette Jane (Garee) Newbold.

He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. where he worked in the Tin Mill. Bill was a member of the Toronto First Presbyterian Church, Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles #1276, and the NRA.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Ryan, and brothers, Frazier Garee Newbold, and Paul Richard ‘Rick’ Newbold.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Holly (Hannan) Newbold whom he married April 26, 1974; daughter, Krissy (Mike) Stratton of Shalimar, FL; son, William T. ‘Bill’ (Tera) Newbold of Toronto; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Brown) Newbold of Bloomingdale, OH; nine grandchildren, Jenna Cook, Tyler Antinone, Will Newbold, Kyler Stratton, Jenna Newbold, Hanna Stratton, Tanner & Gunnar Newbold, and Jaxon Robertson; three great-grandchildren, Brielle DeWess, Cooper Cook, and Adalyn Stratton.

A funeral service for Bill will be held Monday, April 17 at 2 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Bill’s family will receive friends from 11 am to 2 pm. Rev. Michael Bongart will officiate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
