Obituary

William A. Prysock, DO, was born February 9, 1964, and passed away May 3, 2023.

Bill was born to the late William F. Prysock and Anita L. Argentine, who survives. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, David Argentine.

He leaves behind his children, Allison Marie (Benjamin) Cline and Abigail Prysock; granddaughters, Gracelyn James Cline and Parker Rose Cline; siblings, Christine Cummings and Kelly (Steve) Exterovich.

Bill left his medical practice in 2004 to open Zuda Yoga Studios in Southern California.

Retiring at 49, he roamed the US in his fixer upper Vanagon with his dog, Henry, finally settling in Cincinnati, OH, where his daughters made their homes. His interests included most of all reading, then fishing, his dog Henry, science, astronomy, camping and cooking, Bob Dylan, and music. Before his illness Bill hiked 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail.

In 2019 he received an alternative teaching degree in integrated sciences from the state of Ohio. Also, Bill’s international travels were extensive.

Our Bill reminisced of the ‘village,’ those persons in his formative years, who instilled life lessons that carried him till the end: Mr. Eugene Calabrese, Mr. Robert Hilz, Mr. Tom Utzler, Mr. Art Robertson, Mr. Bill Stone, Mr. George Grundling, and Mr. & Mrs. John Romey.

His passion for football energized through Punt-Pass-Kick, the Toronto Titans and quarterback for the Toronto Red Knights was unwavering. He graduated from THS in 1982. Later in life he enjoyed his new best friend, his son-in-law, Ben. The last six years were spent as a supporting care giver to a child named Scarlet. Most of all Bill was an exaggerating storyteller. Later he claimed that there was a bit of truth in every story he told.

This funny guy and cut-up was a kind, generous human being taken from our lives too soon.

Bill followed the belief and practiced the principles of Buddhism. His teacher being Lama Marut. His remains have been donated to the Ohio University body donor program where he received his doctorate degree. In closing, as per his requests, there should be no fireworks, parades, funeral or memorials, just good memories.
