William Reinagle, Jr.

William Reinagle, Jr., ‘Will Call’, 69, of Smithfield, OH, passed away October 31, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Susan Hornyak Reinagle, Sr. and brothers-in-law Larry Bossell, C.C. Smith, and James Toth.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Toth Reinagle, whom he married April 6, 1974; his son Jeremy Reinagle (Dr. Jessica Wilson, DO), his daughter Jenna (Josh) Spence; granddaughter Alyssa Reinagle and grandson Ryker William Reinagle; four sisters, June Bossell, Sylvia Smith (James) Stevens, Elizabeth Borkowski, and Erma Kerns; sister-in-law Dolores Toth; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was born August 22, 1951 in Martins Ferry, OH. He graduated from Smithfield H.S. in 1969 and the Ohio Institute of Technology in 1971. He was employed by the Lincoln Electric Co. and Consolidation Coal Co., and after 37 years, he retired from the Yorkville, OH plant-formerly Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp.

He was Catholic by faith and a member of the Pine Valley Sportsmen Club and Mingo Sportsman’s Club. In his youth he enjoyed playing softball, bowling, hunting and fishing. In the later years, his greatest past times were spending time with loved ones, attending auctions, playing poker and euchre with his friends at Pine Valley, tending to his cattle, and baling hay.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, Nov. 5 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield followed by his funeral service at 12:30 PM. Msgr. John Kolesar will officiate and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.

Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
