William Paul Sutherin (Bill), 67 of Toronto, OH, passed away on Wednesday, August 26th at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Robert J. Sutherin and Veronica Zdinak Sutherin, who survives.
Bill was born in East Liverpool, OH on December 25, 1952. He graduated from Toronto High School and the Wheeling Local 549 Apprenticeship School to become a Journeyman Ironworker.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years. Bill was known to tell jokes and also as a craftsman and woodworker to his family and friends, sharing his talents and many projects through the years.
Along with being a lifelong Browns fan, he was a proud Husband, Father, and Pappy of four beautiful grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by wife, Ruth Cope Sutherin, his children, Tracy Macedonia (Jason) of Upper Arlington, OH, David Sutherin (Amy) of Toronto, and Laurie Sutherin of Upper Arlington, OH. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Danielle and William Sutherin, Luca and Emilia Macedonia, a brother, Robert L. Sutherin (Terri) of Ocala, FL, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private family visitation and funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Rev. Jason Elliott will officiate and burial will be held at the convenience of Bill’s family.
