Anna (Maydak) Mihalik

Anna (Maydak) Mihalik, 90, of Stratton, OH, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 in the Trinity Medical Center West ER in Steubenville, OH.

Anna was born May 24, 1925 in Brownsville, PA, daughter of the late John and Anna (Kotrady) Maydak.

She was a member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Steubenville, and a former member of the Church Sisterhood. She also managed the church offerings.

Prior to marriage, Anna worked as a typist for the Black and Decker Co. in Baltimore, MD. She was also a member of the Stratton Quilting Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mihalik (1992) and her brother, John Maydak (1979).

Anna leaves behind her four daughters, Carol Santone of Toronto, OH, Deborah (Nicholas) Covelli of Mentor, OH, Barbara (Robert) Hall of Weirton, WV and Nadine (William) Myers of Powell, OH; her six grandchildren, Eric, Tony, Marcus, Deanna, Alex and Jacob and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Anna will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, 701 Findley St. in Toronto, OH. Trisagion Services will be held Friday evening at 7 pm. Anna’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 am at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, 206 North Tenth St. in Steubenville with Fr. Greg Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville. A repast will be hosted by the family at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton, WV at 1 pm.
