I am sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Sorry about your loss. I got to know your Dad better in the later years during my visits to my Mom. We would stand at the hedge and talk for a while.

Uncle Don,I'm going to miss you so much.I'll miss our talking on the phone once a week.You kept me going when I was down.we talked so much about family and about how everyone was doing.I'll always remember before you would hang up,you would say to me Betty I love you,your my favorite niece and hang in there.Things will get better.May u rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. He sometimes came across as a rough guy, but he had a real soft spirit. He would come in to pay his bill and yell "Where's Suzy?" He would talk religion and Jesus and politics. I remember a couple of times I would come home from church and he would have a bag of pears or peppers or something on my porch. He was so proud of his family!
