Esther L. (Lamantia) Pavia

Esther L. (Lamantia) Pavia, 92, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, September 04, 2014 surrounded by her family at home.

Esther was born April 14, 1922 in Toronto, daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Calgano Lamantia.

She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and the Catholic Women's Club.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. who passed in 2000; her brothers, Philip and Anthony Lamantia; her sisters, Josephine Lamantia, Theresa Calabrese and Rosemary Finesman; her son-in-law Jeffrey L. Simpson; her grandson Raymond R. Zorbini, granddaughter Catherine Zorbini and her great-granddaughter Angela Zorbini.

Esther leaves behind her seven daughters, Susie (Ray) Zorbini, Cathy (Bill) Blankenship, Janie Simpson, Judy (Bill) Smith, Mary Jo (Chuck) Andrews, Ruth (Steve) Trbovich and Becky (John) Kovach all of Toronto. Also surviving is her sister, Rita Ventolo of Toronto and her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Esther will be held on Sunday, Sept. 7 from 1-5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Monday, Sept. 8 at 10 am at St. Francis Church with Fr. Thomas Vennitti as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held on Monday from 9 am until we leave for the church at 9:45 am. Vigil service will be Sunday at 5pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Esther's memory to St. Francis Church or Charity Hospice.
