It was not long after Chuck was appointed to Bray's Chapel that dear Joanie joined the congregation. She was an encouragement by her joy, her love, and her faithfulness. We will miss her Christmas cards and our occasional encounters since we left Bray's and Steubenville, but we will never forget her. Joanie, look for us; we'll be there in the twinkle of an eye!

I found out today that our dear friend went to be with Jesus... It is one of my saddest and happiest days of my life.
When I wrote to our kids( spread across the world) they were as sad and happy as me... Here's what my son wrote:
It's wonderful that she's home. She was a living testimony of God's grace and glory, will miss the influence of perseverance and Christ she inspired in our lives. Praying for her un-Christian relatives and friends to accept the good news of where she is now, and that they may grow closer to Him.
Her last words to me were loving , funny and then the last words were 'God speed' as we were heading back to Africa. We cannot imagine our lives without our dear friend...
We are praying for you Bob and all your family. Our hearts are so sore for you.
Thankfully we have this Hope IN CHRIST - that Joanie is with Jesus!
Until we are with her may we all walk as she did- with all her heart, soul, mind and strength for Jesus!
