Mom, I know it is so easy to tell myself that you will not suffer anymore and that you are finally at peace; however, I have no idea what I am going to do without you. I am so thankful for everything you have done for me and all that you have given me. I always thought I would have another day, another birthday, another Mother’s Day, and another Christmas Holiday to celebrate with you. I never thought that your life would be taken so early and that there would be no more. I am grateful for every minute that I did have with you up until your last breath. We were able to reminisce, laugh and cry together and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to tell you how much you truly meant to me. Although you had little energy left toward the end of your journey you taught me another valuable lesson…….”No matter how good or bad you think life is, wake up each day and be Thankful for Life. Someone, somewhere else is fighting to survive”.

If roses grow in Heaven Lord please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my mother’s arms and tell her they are from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek, and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day,
But there is an ache within my heart that will never go away.

I will miss Loretta, We went to school from the 7th grade and graduated together. I remember when we were in high school at a dance at the Weirton Community Center and doing "the monkey dance". She was fun and always clowning around. I feel blessed that I get to send you one of my memories of her to her family. Love to her family from mine.
