Thomas J. Doran

Thomas J. Doran, 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday June 10, 2015 in Dixon Health Care Center in Wintersville, OH.

Tom was born in Toronto, son of the late Hugh J. and Mary (Murray) Doran.

He was retired from the Boeing Corporation, where he was a quality control inspector.

Tom is a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and was a 1947 graduate of Toronto High School.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Anne (Butcher) Doran, who passed away in 2002 and his brother, Hugh J. Doran, Jr.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara J. (Jelea) Barnes Doran, whom he married on Oct. 8, 2005; four sons, Daniel J. (Erica) Doran of Syosset, NY, Stephen Patrick Doran of Columbus, OH, Michael Thomas (Diana) Doran of Bethesda, MD and Christopher Alan (Sarah) Doran of Charlottesville, VA; Two brothers, Jack Doran of Toronto, Jim Doran of W. Hartford, CT. and one sister; Mary Kay Doran of Steubenville, OH.  Three step-children, Todd (Michele) Barnes and Gregg (Judy) Barnes both of Toronto and Barbara Yajko of E. Liverpool, OH; eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 10:30 am at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, OH. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate the Mass and inurnment will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in the rear of the church from 9:45 am til time of the Mass at 10:30.

Tom’s arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
