Mary (Borkowski) Boothe, 87, of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.
Mary was born March 10, 1929 in Piney Fork, OH, daughter of the late John and Laura (Kryscak) Borkowski.
She was retired from St. John’s Hospital in Steubenville where she worked in the Billing Dept. Upon retirement Mary worked at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Steubenville. Prior to her job at the hospital, Mary worked at the Jefferson Co. Courthouse in Dillonvale, OH, Kaufmann’s Dept. Store in Steubenville and Carriage Inn Healthcare in Smithfield.
Mary was a former member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Smithfield and a current member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wintersville.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. who passed in 1995, nine brothers, four sisters and one infant sister.
Mary leaves behind her six children, Kathleen Applegarth of Dillonvale, Cynthia (Charles) Sharrow of Toronto, OH, Lawrence I. (Luann) Boothe of Mt. Pleasant, OH, David (Lori Payne) Boothe of Smithfield, Donna Kay (Joseph) Antigo of Richmond, OH and Robert (Case Willoughby) Boothe of Butler, PA; her brother, Bruno Borkowski of Maple Heights, OH; her twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mary will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 1-3 & 5-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield. Her Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Monday at 1:30 pm at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.
There will be additional visitation in the rear of the church on Monday from 12:30 til time of Mass at 1:30pm. A Vigil Service will be held on Sunday at 6:45pm at the funeral home.
