General-007
Welcome to the memorial page for

Carlo John Marsili

February 7, 1971 ~ May 11, 2015 (age 44) 44 Years Old

Carlo John Marsili, of 1440 Main St. Smithfield, OH, left this life on Monday, May 11, 2015. He suffered a heart attack. He had been unwell for some time.

He was the most cherished only child of Sharon Rodak Lelless. His father is Angelo (Carol) Marsili of Dillonvale.

Carlo graduated in 1989 from Buckeye Local High School. He also attended Belmont Tech. College. He has been a delivery driver for Ogden Newspapers for many years.

Carlo was a shy person until you got to know him. Then you could not wish for a kinder or truer friend. He loved the PC, watching and recording favorite TV shows, and talk radio (mainly Rush Limbaugh). His favorite color was purple.

He will be forever loved and missed by all who were blessed enough to have shared his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ellen Rodak, and his grandmother, Betty Marsili.

Other survivors of Carlo include his daughter, Mimi, his ‘pride and joy,’ and her mother, Deidre of Texas; his grandfather, Clemente (Bette) Marsili of Brilliant, who literally saved Carlo’s life one winter when he was sick and out of heating oil, and unable to purchase it. His grandfather got it for him and he made it through. He was ever grateful.

More loved ones he had to leave behind include, his ‘second mom’ Sylvia Gringle of Dillonvale, who gave him shelter, understanding and unconditional love; his ‘Aunt Sissie,’ Linda Miro, his next door neighbor and caring aunt; his ‘friend to the end,’ Chip; cousins Aaron and Andy Gringle and Ronny Miro.

He also leaves behind his two pet cats that he petted and played with every day, Kitty and Meryl.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 14, 2015 from 4-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. in Smithfield, OH. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Wilford Simeral officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH.

Friends and family are invited to share Carlo’s life memories at Linda Miro’s home, 19 High St. in Smithfield, OH, following the services at the cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
